Phillips Gourmet will partner with N2N Global in utilizing its Quality Food Safety Manager software to manage its Enterprise Quality Assurance and Food Safety Program.
Kennett Square, Pa. based- Phillips Gourmet is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Phillips Mushroom Farms, according to a news release.
Quality Food Safety Manager, or QFSM, is N2N Global’s software application that assists companies with work flow management and document control related to food safety compliance, according to the release.
“The pilot demonstrated to us that we can receive real-time or immediate corrective actions with the notification to supervisors of any procedure deviations,” Bill Green, quality control manager for Phillips Gourmet said in the release. “QFSM enables us to graphically identify through graphing or pie charts the areas where improvements are needed. This is also bringing our Food Safety program up to speed with FSMA and helping us continuously enhance and improve our level of Food Safety.”
The Quality Food Safety Manager was originally developed in 1996 and used in Europe. It was brought to the U.S. in 2009, according to the release.
