With school starting, a Pinterest contest is trying to encourage parents to pack healthier foods in their children’s lunchboxes.
The Snap Back into School Pinterest contest is scheduled to run Aug. 21-Sept. 1.
Lori Taylor, the Produce Mom, is working with Calbee North America, maker of Harvest Snaps snacks, in the Pinathon.
The contest seeks to help provide parents new ideas for lunchbox-packers, Taylor, marketing manager for Indianapolis Fruit Co., said in a news release.
Contest organizers plan to randomly select three winners to receive a prize pack including a $50 Visa gift card, Harvest Snaps tee-shirts and Harvest Snaps samples.
To enter the contest, participants must follow The Produce Mom on Pinterest, follow Harvest Snaps on Pinterest, find the link on The Produce Mom’s Facebook page, and pin three Harvest Snaps lunchboxes.
“As kids head back to school, parents across the country are once again faced with the daily challenge of how to pack nutritious lunches that kids will not only eat, but also enjoy,” Taylor said in the release.
