Burdett comes to the Denver-based board from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service, where she worked for 16 years on trade policy development, Asia bilateral and regional affairs and global commodity analysis.
In May, she received the service’s administrator’s honor award for excellence in leadership and management.
At the U.S. Potato Board, Burdett will focus on market access issues, manage the seed potato export program, and oversee application for and management of Foreign Agricultural Service export promotion funds, according to a news release.
