Along with industry exhibitions, networking events and educational seminars, there’s a social media party at the Produce Markenting Association’s Fresh Summit in Anaheim, Calif. The Produce Mom plans to co-host a #FreshSummit Twitter Party, according to a news release.
Twitter parties largely consist of using a specified hashtag, like #FreshSummit, which allows companies and consumers to connect over social media. The online party at this year’s Fresh Summit will stream live from the Anaheim Convention Center at 11 a.m. PST Oct. 18, with tweets broadcast on large media screens throughout the venue.
“It’s a great way to connect the actual producers and suppliers with consumers while promoting innovative ideas on how to select, store and serve their produce,” Lori Taylor, aka The Produce Mom, said in a press release. “Join the conversation, use the PMA hashtag (#FreshSummit) and share your photos and produce knowledge on social media. Consumers have questions about fruits and vegetables and we have the answers.”
“The Produce Mom” is the official blog and consumer brand of Indianapolis Fruit Co., authored by marketing manager Taylor. Co-hosting the event is Chiquita Brands International, Josie’s Organics, Nature Fresh Farms, North Bay Produce, Sage Fruit, Salad Savoy, Tanimura & Antle and Viva Tierra.
The Produce Mom will participate in other Fresh Summit events including judging the Sensory Experience Contest.
