Houston-based Brothers Produce was awarded a $21.4 million maximum contract with the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support in Philadelphia, according to the Department of Defense. With the contract, Brothers Produce will supply a full line of fresh fruits and vegetables to schools in the Dallas-Forth Worth area, according to the release. The Atlantic City, N.J.-based Seashore Fruit and Produce Co. was awarded a maximum $49.5 million contract with the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support to supply Army, Navy, and school customers in New Jersey through June 2018. The contract has an 18-month base with two eighteen month option periods, according to a Department of Defense news release. One other company bid on the contract, according to the release.
