For the past three years, Keefer was public relations and social media manager.
In her new role, Keefer supervises marketing and communications programs, according to a news release.
She plans to continue working with corporate and media partners and maintain relationships with retail contacts, according to the release.
“We are very pleased that Amanda Keefer will be stepping into an elevated role at Produce for Kids,” Trish James, vice president, said in the release. “Her expertise has positioned Produce for Kids as a recognizable consumer brand. I’m confident that she will be able to help take Produce for Kids to a new level.”
She has 12 years of marketing and public relations experience, Keefer started at the Kennedy Space Center visitor complex and also worked in the travel and tourism industry handling media relations for hotels.
Produce for Kids is a philanthropic organization that works with the produce industry to educate consumers about healthy eating with fresh produce and raises funds for local children’s nonprofit organizations.
