Produce industry attorneys advance at Meuers

He has been with the firm since 2006.Two attorneys at the Meuers Law Firm, Naples, Fla., were promoted to member status. The law firm, representing produce industry clients, recognizes their attorney’s contributions through these promotions.

Steven Nurenberg has over 20 years of law experience. He joined Meuers in 2006 after working in as partner at a Detroit firm with 90 attorneys. With Meuers, Nurenberg counsels on litigation matters, including trust enforcement cases under the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act. He also handles disputes between fresh produce companies at the federal court level and reparation cases before the PACA division of the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

In accordance with the standards set by the Martindale-Hubbell Law Directory, Nurenberg’s legal work has achieved an A rating and his ethical standards have received a V rating, V being the highest possible ranking for the category.

“Steve has the innate ability to interpret a client’s difficulty and to communicate his client’s position in a concise and accurate manner,” the firm said in a news release.

Steven De Falco joined the firm in 2004 and has since established a legal expertise in the transportation of fresh produce. He counsels clients in compliance with PACA regulations, represents clients in PACA trust enforcement cases and in the resolution of disputes between produce companies in federal and bankruptcy courts. He also handles reparation cases before the PACA Division of the USDA.

“He is respected, both in the produce and legal communities, for his ability to develop successful outcomes, avoiding costly litigation whenever possible,” said the firm of De Falco in a news release.
