The changes at the San Juan Bautista, Calif.-based grower-shipper also include the promotion of Steve Koran to vice president of retail sales and customer service. Koran joined Earthbound Farm in February 2009 as director of commodity sales.
In his new post, Koran will be responsible for retail and commodity sales.
Glenn Daniels remains as vice president for the eastern division.
Before joining Earthbound Farm, Koran, who has been in the produce industry for more than 20 years, worked with Martori Farms, Scottsdale, Ariz.; Tanimura & Antle, Salinas; and Dole Food Co.
“We’re investing in Earthbound Farm’s future by cultivating our existing talent and complementing it with an assortment of food industry veterans,” Charles Sweat, chief executive officer, said in a news release.
“Our company’s focus in 2012 will be to continue developing innovative products, with a focus on making delicious, healthy, organic food a practical and affordable choice for all consumers.”
New faces in the Earthbound Farm customer development department include Jon Nicosia, vice president for the western division; Dan Welk, director for the North and Southeast regions; Jan Mazer, who takes over the newly-created position of senior manager for the New York and New Jersey markets; Chris Carroll, director for the Southwest region; and Ricardo Sardans, director of business development for the global fruit division.
Also new in customer development are Jeff Hutterer, director of the central region; Ethan Abendroth, retail sales manager; Eric Thurston, retail sales manager; Liz Bourret, commodity manager; and Patricio Cogswell, senior manager of category management.
New to the marketing and produce development department are Mike Mullaney, senior manager of co-manufacturing; Jennifer Golden, senior manager of product innovation; and Ed Macias, senior manager of product innovation.
