Kevin Murphy is the successor to Bill Fauerbach as Miami division vice president for Lakeland, Fla.-based Publix Super Markets.
Fauerbach plans to retire at the end of March following a 46-year career with the company.
“Bill helped grow our culture and build a solid foundation on which the Miami division will continue to grow,” said chief executive officer Ed Crenshaw, in a news release.
Murphy started his career at Publix in 1984 and has been a regional director in the company’s Atlanta division since 2009.
“With Kevin’s passion, commitment to Publix and strong operational knowledge, he’s the ideal candidate to continue to promote the Publix culture of developing associates and enhancing the customer shopping experience,” said Publix president Todd Jones, in a news release.
