QPMA to sponsor youth hockey tournament

The Quebec Produce Marketing Association has signed on as an official sponsor of the Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament.

The sponsorship highlights the role of fresh fruits and vegetables in an active lifestyle, according to a news release from Anjou, Quebec-based QPMA.

The Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament will be Feb. 9-19 at Quebec’s Pepsi Center. The event, now in its 53rd year, draws about 2,300 players from 16 countries and 200,000 fans annually.

Made up of about 500 companies, QPMA is committed to helping marketers sell fresh fruits and vegetables and raising consumer awareness of the benefits of produce. The association launched its “I love 5 to 10 servings a day” campaign in 2004.
