The “I love 5 to 10 servings a day” campaign has added two partners, Syndicat des producteurs d’oignons du Québec and Fédération québécoise des producteurs de fruits et légumes de transformation, to help promote consumption of fruits and vegetables in Quebec. These two organizations now bring the number of campaign partners to 10.
In 2004, the campaign was launched by the Quebec Produce Marketing Association to raise consumer awareness about the importance of eating fresh fruits and vegetables as part of a healthy lifestyle. The campaign provides tips on how to add more fruit and vegetable servings to daily consumption.
Each partner who joins the campaign brings financial support and expertise on their products, according to a news release.
“We’re really enthusiastic about working with the Syndicat des producteurs d’oignons du Québec. We want to help people find out more about yellow and red onions,” said Sophie Perreault, executive director at Quebec Produce Marketing Association. “We’re equally delighted to have the support of the Fédération québécoise des producteurs de fruits et légumes de transformation, that brings together hundred of producers, as well as large Québec companies leading the processing sector. Together, we want to show people that frozen, preserved or canned vegetables are practical solutions to help consumers enjoy great flavour and healthy ingredients at mealtimes.”
