A new facility is helping RWI Transportation expand logistics operations.
The Wilder, Ky.-based RWI enlarged its organization by leasing a second facility for its Wilder logistics unit.
The new 9,000-square-foot-operation is a few miles from RWI’s corporate headquarters.
The additional logistics space includes a training facility for new personnel to receive training in operations, sales and customer service.
The new building also allows operations and customer service staffs to continue expanding to handle the company’s growth, according to a news release.
“In the past three years, RWI has experienced significant growth from additional services and capabilities,” Richard Bauer, RWI’s executive vice president and general manager, said in the release. “During this period, our logistics unit alone experienced a 30% increase in revenue. As a company, we increased our work force by more than 40%. This aggressive growth resulted in the need for additional space.”
RWI is an asset-based logistics company that provides regional and national truckload, less-than-load, expedited and refrigerated warehousing services, according to the release.
