Irwindale, Calif.-based Ready Pac Foods Inc. has hired two vice presidents to oversee environmental health and safety and engineering and maintenance.
Both positions will report directly to Pete Laport, chief supply chain officer, according to a news release.
Derek Bogard, who has spent most of his career in the food and beverage industry, will be responsible for integrating environmental health and safety practices companywide operations.
Before joining Ready Pac, he worked for Calgary, Alberta-based Encana Oil & Gas Inc.’s U.S. operations, where he led environmental health and safety training, emergency response and workers’ compensation.
Bogard also has worked for the Dr Pepper Snapple Group, Land O’Lakes/Moark LLC, Aurora Foods and Tennessee Aluminum Casting LLC.
Kamran Lodi, who has more than 22 years’ experience in consumer packaged goods, will focus on engineering and maintenance and coordinating those functions with operations.
Before Ready Pac, he spent seven years with ConAgra Foods Inc. as senior director of engineering. In that role, he led engineering for the grocery-snacks division.
Lodi also has worked for Mars Inc., Brown & Williamson Tobacco Co. and McKee Foods Corp.
With processing facilities in several U.S. states, Ready Pac offers a line of bagged salads and fresh-cut snacks, fruits and vegetables to retailers and restaurant foodservice.
