Company officials say “surging demand” for RedLine Solutions’ traceability software led them to add five positions to their staff, two in engineering and three in sales.

The engineering jobs are filled, according to a news release from the Santa Clara, Calif., company. RedLine is still looking for people to fill the three new regional sales positions.

With 15 years of traceability experience behind it, RedLine is in a position where it is expanding to meet growing customer needs, chief executive officer Todd Baggett said in the news release. Much of the demand is in response to the Produce Traceability Initiative.

“We are building a team to support the new era of traceability,” Baggett said in the release. “Our phones have been busy ever since Wal-Mart announced they would be requiring PTI compliance.”

Baggett said RedLine’s entire staff has deep produce experience that understands what fresh produce companies need to meet the requirements of the Produce Traceability Initiative.
