RedLine Solutions has received the 2014 North America Frost & Sullivan Award for Fresh Produce Traceability Company of the Year.
The Mountain View, Calif.-based company was recognized by Frost & Sullivan, which annually awards companies in a variety of regional and global markets for demonstrating superior performance, according to a news release from RedLine.
“RedLine’s solution effectively addresses the issues associated with identifying the source of spoiled or damaged produce, saving time and costs for stakeholders along the entire value chain,” Frost & Sullivan research analyst Sonia Francisco said in the release. “This methodology has several advantages such as reducing cost pressure on the grower, sustaining consumers’ confidence in the fresh produce, and enabling retailers to ensure continuous commodity flow.”
The release said RedLine Solutions helps customers comply with food safety regulations such as the Produce Traceability Initiative and the Food Safety Modernization Act, and also for systems that support quality and freshness.
