The new varieties are expected to start shipping to retailers and distributors in late April. They are:
- Apples and caramel with Greek yogurt chips;
- Apples and caramel with peanuts and chocolate;
- Sweet gala apples and caramel with peanuts; and
- Celery Stix and ranch dip.
“Innovation is very important to consumers,” Craig Reichel, president and chief executive officer of Rochester, Minn.-based Reichel Foods, said in a news release. “For instance, we’ve seen Greek yogurt drive sales in other categories.”
The launch brings the Dippin’ Stix line to a total of 13 products. Many are less than 100 calories and are gluten-free, according to the company.
