The issue was discovered through the company’s own testing, according to a news release. No illnesses have been reported.
The snack was Dippin’ Stix apples and caramel with peanuts in 2.75-ounce single serve trays. Use-by dates were Sept. 1 through Sept. 3. The volume of the recall was not immediately available.
Also recalled were 5.6-ounce packages of Armour Active Packs cheese pizza lunch kits. Part of that kit is sliced apples with a caramel dip. The package code is 1026090112; the case code is 27815-17996.
Both products were distributed nationwide to retail and convenience stores.
