D’Arrigo Bros. Co. of California has named directors of business development, sales and foodservice sales — three of five promotions at the grower-shipper, which also hired a salesman.

Matt Amaral, previously a salesman, is now director of business development.

John Scherpinski has been promoted to director of sales. He guides the daily pricing strategies for the sales staff and the Andy Boy product lines. Scherpinski has been with the Salinas, Calif., grower-shipper for nine years, according to a news release.

Greg Heinz, who’s spent eight years with the company and was also a salesman, is now director of foodservice sales.

Gabriela D’Arrigo was promoted to marketing manager.

In that role she will continue to revamp the D’Arrigo website, increase the company’s social media activity and enhance marketing materials.

“It is a very exciting time for marketing in the industry, and I am very grateful for the opportunity to make my mark at D’Arrigo and bring the company into the future,” she said in the release.

Gabriella Besaw was promoted from sales assistant to sales associate.

D’Arrigo Bros. Co. also hired Ben Wilson as a salesman. Wilson previously worked in sales for Coastline Produce, recently renamed Coastline Family Farms.
