The contest, sponsored by Scattaglia Growers & Shippers LLC, Traver, Calif., featured prominent displays of California fruit under the Disney brand, along with in-store promotions including face painting, stickers and balloons. The winning display included a Disney Cinderella castle and treasure hunt in the produce department, ending at the castle’s throne where the store offered family photos for participants.
“Nothing compares to seeing guests light up when they see Disney come to life in our produce department,” said Sheryl Salazar, assistant produce sales manager for Albertsons, in a news release. “The displays were also an excellent sales driver for produce. We were inspired by our employees’ creativity and truly appreciate SGS’s commitment to our event.”
SGS offered prizes and signage for the event, with displays built with the company’s tree fruit and grapes.
