Sakata named Dennis Storm as director of supply chain for Sakata Seed America, Morgan Hill, Calif., and Ken Reid as facilities operations manager for Alf Christianson Seed Co., Burlington, Wash.
Storm was promoted from his prior position as supply chain manager for Sakata Seed America, a subsidiary of Sakata America Holding, Inc.
“I am happy to be leading the supply chain organization at Sakata and look forward to exceeding the needs of customers in both the ornamental and vegetable arenas,” Storm said in an email.
Reid joins Sakata from his position as vice president of processing operations for California Olive Ranch Co., Oroville, Calif.
“I am excited about the opportunity to be working with Alf Christianson Seed and Sakata. Having spent my entire life in agriculture, I look forward to working with a company with such great tradition and strong growth potential for the future,” Reid said in an email.
Both will report to Dave Armstrong, president and chief executive officer of Sakata America Holding Inc.
“At a time when Sakata is expanding on its commercial programs and presence in the market, we’re pleased to announce the appointments of Ken and Dennis,” Armstrong said in a news release.
