Stanley Cup wager features New York applesIf the Los Angeles Kings beat the New York Rangers in hockey’s Stanley Cup finals, New York apples will be among the gifts sent to California’s governor.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo and California Governor Jerry Brown have made a friendly wager on the finals, which begin June 4, according to a news release from Cuomo’s office.

If the Kings win, Cuomo will send Brown a gift basket of products from New York businesses that includes apples from Hopewell Junction-based Fishkill Farms, which has a pick-your-own apple orchard and is a supporter of Community Supported Agriculture.
