Stemilt Growers Inc. is expanding its Lil Snappers line of bagged fruit for kids.

Lil Snappers will now be available in two new apple varieties, braeburn and fuji, according to a news release from Wenatchee, Wash.-based Stemilt. Gala, granny smith, Honeycrisp, Piñata and Pink Lady are the other apple varieties in the line.

In addition, Stemilt will now ship organic galas, fujis, granny smith, Piñatas and Pink Ladies in Lil Snappers bags.

Also new, Stemilt will soon begin shipping Lil Snappers in a new display shipper.

The carton is a shorter version of a standard display-ready carton and is ideal for retail displays.

Launched in October, the Lil Snappers line, which also includes anjou pears, features size 125 and size 113 apples and pears in 3-pound bags with handles.

The bags stand up and are resealable. For retail display, they ship in specially designed bins that hold 12 bags and shippers that hold nine bags.

Lil Snappers bags, bins and point-of-sale signs have quick-response codes consumers can scan for more information.
