Stemilt Growers has named Chicago-based Jocelyn Gerard as its regional merchandising manager.
Gerard will work with customers to develop marketing programs for Wenatchee, Wash.-based Stemilt’s fresh fruit products.
“Her passion for fresh food and great communication and organizational skills will serve her well in this new role,” Roger Pepperl, Stemilt marketing director, said in a news release.
For several years Gerard has helped develop a local food movement in the Chicago area, including a farmer’s market and food co-op.
She previously spent 10 years in management at an artisanal interior design company, Maya Romanoff Corp. Prior to that she worked in administration at Reuters, a news agency.
Her experience includes event management, account relations and marketing communications.
