Sun World adds Peruvian grape licensee

Bakersfield, Calif.-based Sun World has added its first grape producer-marketer licensee in Peru.

Agricola Don Ricardo, which ships grapes grown in Peru’s Ica Valley to the U.S.,U.K., Europe and Asia, joins a list of more than 1,000 producers and marketing companies licensed to ship Sun World grapes, according to a Sun World news release.

The company also has grape licensees in Italy, Chile, Australia, South Africa, Spain and Brazil.

“Our new Peruvian partner will be an excellent addition to the Sun World licensee network,” Johan Jooste, Sun World’s licensing vice president, said in the news release. “I am confident that (Agricola Don Ricardo’s) professionalism and commitment to quality grape production and distribution will complement well our other southern hemisphere licensees in particular.”

Sun World also licenses production of its plum, peach, nectarine and apricot varieties.
