Sun World International LLC has added two marketer licensees — Freshworld and Fresh Produce Group-Western Australia — to distribute its grapes.
Stellenbosch, South Africa-based Freshworld was granted rights to supply Sun World grape varieties from South Africa to Dairy Farm, a Far East supermarket retailer.
Fresh Produce Group-Western Australia has rights to source Sun World grapes grown in that region to clients there and to export markets.
Both companies are licensed to use Sun World brands, including Midnight Beauty, Scarlotta Seedless and Sable Seedless, in the marketplace, according to a news release.
Fresh Produce Group-Western Australia is owned by Robert Nugan’s Fresh Produce Group, Sydney, Australia, along with agronomists Ben Tanner and Tim Hyde.
Freshworld, a produce marketer and exporter, was founded in 2001 by Danie Kieviet. It exports fruit to the Far East, Scandinavia, North America, the Middle East and Russia.
Sun World’s fruit licensing program includes more than 1,000 producers and marketing companies.
