Bakersfield, Calif.-based Sun World International has appointed Clifton Lollar to the newly created position of land and water transactions project manager.
For the past 11 years, Lollar had administered water rights for the Fresno, Calif.-based Kings River Water Association’s 28 members and managed river operations and regulatory programs, according to a news release.
In the new position, he will help coordinate a Sun World group that seeks, evaluates and acquires new farmland and works to optimize water supplies. He will be based in Fresno.
“Clifton Lollar’s extensive experience in managing local water operations will be of value to Sun World as we continue to bring added focus on land acquisition and efficient use of water assets,” president and chief executive officer Dave Dever said in the release.
