Sunkist Growers plans to serve United Fresh attendees a pair of recipes using Vitamix blenders.
At booth No. 532 at the June 10-13 Chicago trade show. Sunkist plans to serve green juice in the morning, and a blended Sunkist super citrus margarita in the afternoon.
“We hope our collaboration will inspire consumers to enjoy Sunkist citrus in new and innovative ways using Vitamix’s powerful equipment,” advertising and public relations manager Joan Wickham said in a news release.
Chef Jill Davie will be at the booth serving Sunkist lemon pesto shrimp crostini and orange chipotle turkey tacos.
The shipper also plans to update attendees on its multimedia storytelling project, Sunkist Family Stories. Sunkist has developed point-of-sale materials to reach consumers with the stories of its growers.
“Now more than ever, consumers are interested in the origins of their food,” director of retail marketing Julie DeWolf said in the release.
Sunkist plans to display its “Not Your Mother’s Grapefruit” packaging and point-of-sale materials too. The campaign touts the health and weight-loss benefits of grapefruit and provides usage ideas, recipes and tips.
