Sunkist Growers Inc. is highlighting its seasonal citrus offerings at this year’s Canadian Produce Marketing Association Convention and Trade Show in Toronto.
The Sherman Oaks, Calif.-based company’s new Lil Snappers Mixed Bag, peak-season gold nuggets, cara cara navels and baby lemons are among the varieties on display at CPMA April 17-19, according to a Sunkist news release.
“Many Sunkist citrus varieties are in peak-season right now,” Joan Wickham, Sunkist’s advertising and public relations manager, said in the release. “We have so many exciting programs currently under way and we are pleased to be sharing them with our customers and industry partners at CPMA.”
Lil Snappers, Sunkist’s newest product, was launched in January. At CPMA, the premium, kid-sized fruit was displayed in 3-pound resealable stand-up pouch bags.
Also at CPMA, Sunkist unveiled its new Mixed Bag, which combines Lil Snappers navels with Lil Snappers gala apples supplied by Sunkist’s grower partner, Wenatchee, Wash.-based Stemilt Growers.
