Sunlight International is packing grapes in Halloween-themed bags for the holiday.
McFarland, Calif.-based Sunlight is marketing green and red emeralds, scarlet royals, autumn royals, autumn kings, crimsons and other varieties in Halloween-themed Harvest Hobgoblin pouch bags, according to a company news release.
Because of a warm summer, brix levels on grapes are high and crunch and overall quality are “exceptional,” Nick Dulcich, Sunlight’s president, said in the release.
“Overall, the grape eating quality is at premium status,” Dulcich said. “If weather permits, the season will go all the way into January, increasing the availability of green, red and black grapes for the year.”
All Harvest Hobgoblin bags have a QR code linked to a video that shows consumers how to make Halloween-themed recipes using Sunlight International grapes as the main ingredient.
In addition to pouch bags, the Harvest Hobgoblin promotion includes display bins, presentation shipping cartons and posters.
