Sunset Produce’s Flavor Tour is set to begin this week.
The tour will go coast-to-coast to bring consumers Sunset’s products, according to a news release.
The Sunset Flavor Crew will stop at retailers, concerts and community events from Massachusetts to California over the next three months. The crew will end its journey in Anaheim, California, for the Produce Marketing Association’s Fresh Summit.
“We wanted to create the opportunity to have more face time with our customers,” CEO Paul Mastronardi said in the release. “The tour is our chance to tell our story, to share our passion and to create more of a dialog with produce managers and consumers who love flavor.”
The crew will hand out free samples of signature Sunset recipes at various retailers and events across the country. The company hopes to inform visitors about greenhouse growing and the company’s Kumato and Y.E.L.O. tomatoes.
“Often times people associate healthy eating with plain flavors and long processes,” Flavor Crew member Mallory Flanders said in the release. “We want to show everyone that you can make quick and healthy recipes that are incredibly flavorful as well.”
Visitors will also have a chance to enter the Sunset Sweepstakes’ grand prize trip for two to Napa Valley. The winners will go on wine tours and take cooking classes.
