Sunsweet Growers Inc., Yuba City, Calif., has appointed chief operating officer Dane Lance as the company’s president, effective Oct. 1.
Lance Arthur Driscoll II has been the president and chief executive officer since 2004 and continues as CEO, according to a news release.
Lance, who has been COO since March 2011, oversees day to day financial, operational, information technology, administrative and sales and marketing matters.
“Dane took on vice president of global sales and marketing duties in 2004,” Driscoll said in the release. “Since that time Sunsweet revenue has grown 35% while household penetration of prunes has improved by 40%. Dane doubled advertising communication during that period and drove the launch of innovative new retail products that now represent 30% of company revenue in North America.”
Lance started his employment with Sunsweet in 1989 as vice president of international marketing, according to the release.
Before joining Sunsweet he worked for the Clorox Co. for three years.
