Sunsweet Growers earned the award for superior achievements in quality and effectiveness across PepsiCo’s beverage supply chain, according to a news release. It is the fourth time overall that the company has won the award.
More than seventy other co-packers were in the running. PepsiCo rated its packers on quality, customer service and cost.
“We are pleased to recognize Sunsweet/Yuba City with our Co-packer of the Year (award) for the second consecutive year and the first partner to win the award in consecutive years,” Art Lawrence, vice president of contract manufacturing at PepsiCo, said in the release.
“PepsiCo has extremely high quality standards and we feel honored to be recognized for meeting such high expectations set forth by an incredible company,” Matt Kelly, Sunsweet vice president of manufacturing, said in the release. “At Sunsweet we challenge ourselves to be the best and to be the recipient of this award in back to back years is an incredible accomplishment.”
