Americans are expected to eat 32% more avocados this Super Bowl than they did during last year’s game.

About 104 million pounds of avocados will be consumed — enough to fill a football field end zone to end zone and reach over the top of the goal posts — according to an estimate from the Irvine, Calif.-based Hass Avocado Board.

This year’s game will be played Feb. 2 outside New York City in New Jersey.

“Avocados and the Big Game go hand in hand,” Emiliano Escobedo, executive director of the Hass Avocado Board, said in a news release. “This year, the Big Apple will meet the Big Avocado, as once again, more and more Americans will enjoy avocados during the game.”

In 2013, about 79 million pounds of avocados were consumed over the Super Bowl.
