The U.S. Department of Defense has awarded multi-million dollar fruit and vegetable supply contracts to C&C Produce and Valley Fruit and Vegetable.
C&C Produce Inc., North Kansas City, Mo., was awarded a maximum $10.5 million fixed-price with economic-price-adjustment contract for fresh fruit and vegetables, according to an Department of Defense news release.
The firm will supply government customers in Missouri, including the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps and customers of the U.S. Department of Agriculture, according to the release.
The C&C Produce contract with the Defense Logistics Agency Trip Support in Philadelphia has a May 3, 2015, completion data and two additional 18-month option periods, according to the release.
Valley Fruit and Vegetable, Los Angeles, was awarded a maximum $30 million fixed-price with economic-price-adjustment, indefinite-quantity contract for fresh fruit and vegetable support, according to an Oct. 22 news release from the Department of Defense.
The contract, also with the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support, has a completion date of April 21, 2015, according to the release. Valley Fruit and Vegetable supply USDA customers in California, according to the release.
