Sweet Tomatoes and Souplantation restaurants are promoting a new quinoa and feta salad, available through the end of August, to provide consumers with fresh and trendy ingredients, said officials with the San Diego-based soup, salad bar and bakery concepts.
Quinoa and feta salad includes these ingredients: red and white quinoa grains, corn, cilantro, parsley, feta cheese, red wine vinegar, white sugar, Dijon mustard, kosher salt, black pepper and an oil and vegetable base.
A new Mediterranean tossed salad was available Aug. 1-17.
Other seasonal offerings offered during the early part of the month included creamy sweet tomato and basil soup, and for dessert, pineapple upside down cake.
Souplantation and Sweet Tomatoes are owned by San Diego-based Garden Fresh Corp., which also operates Sweet Tomatoes Express.
The company operates 128 restaurants in 15 states in the Northwest, Southwest and Southeast.
Souplantation is only in Southern California.
