Sysco Corp. has announced new officers to help lead the company after its pending merger with US Foods Inc.
If Houston-based Sysco’s board of directors gives its approval, the following leaders will report to CEO Bill DeLaney, according to a news release:
Tom Bene, domestic and international operations;
Scott Charlton, supply chain operations;
Pietro Satriano, merchandising and marketing; and
Stuart Schuette, sales.
Bene and Charlton joined Sysco in 2013, Satriano in 2011. Schuette is a 23-year industry veteran and longtime US Foods executive.
“Each of these individuals brings to the job a wealth of customer focus, personal commitment, industry knowledge and professional expertise,” DeLaney said in the release. “I look forward to working with this senior team upon completion of the merger as we continue to pursue being our customers’ most valued and trusted business partner.”
Sysco expects the merger with Rosemont, Ill.-based US Foods to be completed late in the third quarter or in the fourth quarter, according to the release.
The merger, announced in December, would join the two largest foodservice distribution companies.
