Total Quality Logistics, Cincinnati, Ohio, raised $19,488 during its sixth annual $1 Per Load Memorial Day fundraising event.
One dollar from every load that Total Quality Logistics arranged during the week of May 12 will go to the Yellow Ribbon Support Foundation, Cincinnati.
The company started the $1 Per Load Memorial Day fundraising campaign in 2009. The first year, the program raised approximately $5,500. In six years, TQL has raised more than $72,000 for the Yellow Ribbon Support Foundation.
The foundation oversees the Let Us Never Forget Scholarship Fund and the Yellow Ribbon Support Center. The Scholarship Fund provides post-secondary education scholarships in the names of fallen soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines to ensure they are never forgotten. The Support Center sends care packages to military service members deployed overseas.
