Total Quality Logistics is planning on opening a new office in St. Louis, Mo.
The expansion plan includes a $1.2 million capital investment; it is expected to create 95 jobs within five years, according to a news release.
“Missouri’s skilled workforce and access to rivers, rails and roads make the Show-Me State a great location for transportation companies like Total Quality Logistics to invest and hire,” Missouri Governor Jay Nixon said in the release. “We look forward to welcoming this industry leader to Missouri, and to continuing our economic growth.”
The company, a freight brokerage firm, connects customers moving truckloads of freight with carriers who can haul it. More than 50,000 carriers across North America work with Total Quality Logistics.
The company moves more than 20,000 loads of truckload freight throughout North America each week.
Including the new office in St. Louis, the company has locations in 14 states; more than 2,800 people work for the company. In 2013, the company generated $1.6 billion in sales.
