The Produce Mom and Sage Fruit Co. have signed on for another year together.
Lori Taylor, author of The Produce Mom blog and consumer marketing manger for Indianapolis-based Indianapolis Fruit Co., will work with Yakima, Wash.-based Sage on educating consumers and developing recipes incorporating apples, cherries and pears, according to a Produce Mom news release.
“We’ve accomplished a great deal over the last year in our joint quest to increase the consumption of fresh produce,” Kaci Komstadius, Sage’s social media director, said in the release. “We look forward to what the upcoming year has in store with retailers and consumers throughout the United States, and we’re excited to grow our partnership,”
The Produce Mom and Sage’s joint efforts have included a Pinterest campaign to promote Northwest cherries, a "New Year New You" weight loss promotion and a blog series about Washington apples.
“I was able to bring so many recipes and knowledge of apples, cherries and pears to all of my followers last year through my partnership with Sage Fruit,” Taylor said in the release. “I am so impressed with the Sage Fruit team and operation. I am beyond excited to continue my partnership and build a deeper relationship with this premier grower-shipper.”
