Courtesy The Produce MomIn honor of her new partner, Chiquita Brands International, The Produce Mom whipped up banana s'mores.Lori Taylor, aka The Produce Mom, is building her partner list with the addition of Chiquita Brands International as she continues her mission to increase consumption of fresh produce.
The banana giant signed on to help Taylor, marketing manager and blogger for Indianapolis Fruit Co., with resources for her online efforts, according to a news release.
She uses her blog, Twitter parties and other social media techniques to engage consumers and share information about how to select, store and serve fresh produce.
“The Produce Mom gets families to think creatively about improving their health and wellness that directly aligns with our nutritious products,” Chiquita director of marketing and channel sales Rob Adams said in the release.
Taylor said in the release she hopes to increase awareness of Chiquita’s social and environmental policies while working with them to increase consumption of fresh produce.
“I’m also excited to share with The Produce Mom followers all the great ways to use bananas in snacks and meals. Of course, bananas are great on-the-go snacks, but there are also hundreds of ways to incorporate this nutritious fruit into meals,” Taylor said in the release.
