Lori Taylor, aka The Produce Mom from Indianapolis Fruit Co., is scheduled to join a Super Bowl winner and a Women’s NBA champion on the agenda at the Indiana Youth Leadership Summit Feb. 26.
All Indiana high schools are invited to participate and can send up to 30 students each to the event sponsored by the state health department, according to a news release.
Taylor is scheduled to present details about the “Get Fever Fit” campaign, which encourages youth to become as fit as players on the Women’s NBA team the Indiana Fever.
“I hope to be able to share some fun and simple ways students can increase their consumption of fruits and vegetables,” Taylor said in the news release.
Presenting information with Taylor will be Indiana Fever director of player relations, Roberta Courtright, the release said. They are scheduled to discuss how to stay healthy through eating, exercising and balance. The session will also include an interactive activity for students to create week-long meal and exercise plans.
Also scheduled to speak at the event are Jeanette Pohlen, Indiana Fever Guard and 2012 WNBA champion, and Marlin Jackson, former Indianapolis Colts Defensive Back and Super Bowl XLI champion.
