A new app transforms mobile devices into Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Point tools.
Temperature instrumentation manufacturer ThermoWorks Inc. is introducing a mobile HACCP system.
The Lindon, Utah-based ThermoWorks bills its trademarked HACCP Mobile as the first app that pairs with a Bluetooth thermometer probe to turn any iPhone, iPad or iPod into a paperless professional HACCP recording solution, according to a news release.
Users can display, record, add notes and save temperature data as part of a HACCP auditing or quality audit program and e-mail results to personal computers for temperature records, according to the release.
Used with free accessory desktop software, the one-touch system allows users to view temperature readings remotely on any iDevice up to 60 feet, according to the release.
The HACCP Mobile desktop software for Windows allows users to create company and location profiles, build custom checklists and create user lists or operators for each profile.
Users can label food items and set high-low temperature limits and alerts notify when a food item enters preset dangerous temperature zones, according to the release.
