The Tom Lange Co. Inc. is opening an import office in Miami.
The Springfield, Ill.-based Lange’s Seven Seas Miami office is in a warehouse close to the Miami International Airport and the Port of Miami.
The office should provide Seven Seas Miami unlimited import and volume potential, according to a news release.
Lange plans to operate the Miami office under a similar business model as its Seven Seas New Jersey office and focus on imports from China, Central America and South America, according to the release.
One of the top U.S. container ports, the Miami port is undergoing a $2 billion renovation, which should help the new operation, Lange officials said in the release.
The office staff includes Steve Blackburn and Pablo Gonzalez, who possess extensive import and export experience, according to the release.
“Seven Seas Miami represents the expansion of our North American import operations,” Greg Reinauer, Lange’s president, said in the release. “The strategic location of the Miami facility, combined with our existing operations in New Jersey and Toronto, provides a perfect opportunity to provide high quality service and product to our customers.”
Tom Lange Co. International Inc. also does business as Seven Seas Fruit and Seven Seas Berry Sales.
