The store also plans to offer of organic produce.
Currently, Tops stocks more than 150 organic produce items, but growing consumer demand is helping increase the number of offerings daily, Tops officials said in the release.
The new store also plans to carry a variety of local produce and floral.
“We currently have a strong potted herb program grown in Eden Valley, N.Y., and carry tomatoes on the vine, produced with green energy out of Lewiston, N.Y.,” Jeff Cady, Tops’ produce category manager, said in the release. “That commitment will carry into other locally grown product as it becomes available.”
