Tosca Ltd. is acquiring Georgia Pacific LLC’s reusable plastic container division.
According to terms of the transaction, Atlanta-based Georgia Pacific’s RPC staff are scheduled to join Green Bay, Wis., Tosca, an RPC pooler and logistics services provider.
Tosca plans to continue operating Georgia Pacific’s Memphis, Tenn., Garland, Texas, and King City, Calif., RPC plants, according to a news release.
The acquisition helps expand Tosca’s products and services it offers to produce, dairy, beverage and protein industry customers, Tosca officials said in the release.
“This union will benefit fresh produce companies,” Eric Frank, Georgia Pacific’s general manager, said in the release.
Frank will continue to lead the company’s Atlanta-based produce division.
“Tosca’s focus as a market leader for RPCs in multiple industries will bring best practices and accelerate the momentum already established by GP RPC in the fresh produce industry,” Frank said in the release. “Together our shared values and like-minded practices set the stage for a successful future.”
