Total Quality Logistics, a freight brokerage firm based in Cincinnati, recently donated to the Society of Saint Andrew as a part of its Moves that Matter program. Based in Big Island, Va., the Society of Saint Andrew is a nonprofit organization which provides unused produce to poor and underprivileged communities. According to a news release, this is the fourth such award Total Quality has made under the program this year.
“The program is a great way to emphasize to our employees how important the work of arranging freight transportation is. Sometimes the shipments we move contain items to help those suffering or in need,” said Kerry Byrne, Total Quality executive vice president, in a news release.
Founded in 1997, Total Quality Logistics specializes in moving truckload freight and third-party logistics. As one of the largest freight brokerage firms in the nation, the company currently employs more than 2,800 people in 27 offices in 16 states. The Society of Saint Andrew uses Total Quality to help arrange its freight shipments.
