Total Quality Logistics has selected Rescue Bank as the recipient of its $1,000 donation as part of June’s Moves that Matter program.
Rescue Bank, Houston, Texas, provides food to animal rescue and rehabilitation groups. Rescue Bank’s regional affiliates receive truckload donations of pet food and distribute pallet quantities to qualified groups, according to the news release.
Rescue Bank’s program gives rescue organizations the opportunity to use part of their food budget for other services.
The Moves that Matter program was created after the company helped with the pickup and delivery of playgrounds for the Where Angels Play Foundation, which was the first recipient of a donation from Total Quality Logistics.
“Our goal with this program is to encourage everyone who works in the transportation industry to take pride in the valuable work they do and shine a light on the many people and organizations working for the greater good in our communities,” Total Quality Logistics executive vice president Kerry Byrne said in the release.
Moves that Matter is open to Total Quality Logistics employees, customers, and carriers who have helped a recognized 501(c) (3) organization transport an important load of freight. To nominate a nonprofit organization for a $1,000 donation, visit www.tql.com/Moves-That-Matter.
