Proper recalls require EDUCATION for employees and consumers, there are different type of recalls and not all of them are harmful to the consumer. Many Consumers have forgotten about their good-in-house eating habits such as thoroughly washing their hands and perishables should be properly washed at home as we don't know how many filthy hands, places, the produce was handled AFTER it left the farm; Consumers in the USA & Canada have little to NO clue as to how much stricter certifications are for foreign farmers than for domestic ones, thus the proof is in the +% of recalled food from domestic suppliers than it is from foreign ones. These outfits should have stricter critical control points audits: -Foodservice -Re-packers -Processors -Carriers all depend of a fresh perishable suppliers as most comes from the same shippers.
