United Farm Workers planned an April 24 march on a California congressman’s office in support of immigration reform legislation.

The union forecast turnout in the hundreds. Laborers were to walk in single file to the Bakersfield office of House majority whip Kevin McCarthy, a Republican, and take turns requesting a meeting with him.

The UFW, which scheduled livestream video http://tinyurl.com/kyqaxer of the march starting at 10:30 a.m. Pacific, has accused the congressman of “empty promises” on immigration reform and is asking him to schedule a vote.

It’s not the first rally there on the topic.

“The more congressman McCarthy tries to ignore us, the stronger our movement becomes,” Arturo Rodriguez, union president, said in a news release. “We won’t stop until we get the vote on comprehensive immigration reform that our community deserves.”

Each marcher will carry locally picked produce to McCarthy’s office.

I don't see anything wrong at all with American citizens haveing their voices heard, but anyone that is in our country illegally, or even on a green card for work or school, if found protesting, should be deported, goes back to the saying, if you don't like my apples, don't shake my tree, we have set back and let a handful of people use the courts, and legislative bodies of this country, trying to destroy it's foundation, it is time we said no more, learn how to stand up straight, and just say no, for it is a new world order, and believe me, we are once again under other nations sites, our military is only a shadow of its former greatness, our equipment is wore out, only about 50 percent is on the combat ready line, and allowing 11 million people in, in about 7 to 10 years that will multiply to 50 million, with the major majority drawing entitlements from state and federal systems, at a time when there will be more Retired people, and the unemployed, will way out number the working class, that shoulders the financial burdens of our country, and the wasteful ways of our governments, are you just going to sit in the wagon, as it rolls downhill to its destruction, or are you going to jump out and help push it back up to the top of the mountain, it has come time to make your choice, it starts in your home, buy at least 5 percent more, truly made, not assembled in the USA, and a million Americans go back to work, get out and get involved in your community, and most of all, vote, and vote wisely, in any election, it's not a popularity contest, it's your future, and now the bad choices and directions our country has been led, has resulted into a great burden on our children, and seriously darking our grandchildrens future.
