The U.S. Potato Board, Denver, Colo., elected new leadership during its 42nd annual meeting held in Colorado Springs.
Brett Jensen, Idaho Falls, Idaho, was elected chairman and is serving his sixth year on the board. In 2013, Jensen served as co-chairman of the domestic marketing committee and in 2012 he was co-chairman of the industry communications and policy committee. In 2011, Jensen served on the administrative committee as a member of its international marketing committee.
Jensen is also a district chairman for United Potato Growers of Idaho and serves on the Bonneville County Farm Service Agency committee.
Bruce Richardson, Capeville, Va., was elected to the executive committee and is also serving his sixth year on the Potato Board. In 2012 and 2013, he served as co-chairman of the domestic marketing committee and from 2009 to 2011, he served on the administrative committee as a member of its domestic marketing committee.
Richardson is also the chairman of the Virginia Irish Potato Promotion Board, the chairman of the Southeastern Potato Marketing Committee, and serves on the board for the Association of Virginia Potato & Vegetable Growers.
